PROJECT X
Too lazy to build a bot? Coding and Aviation not your cup of tea? And yet, are you smart and skillful enough to win something at mecanizers2k12? If you pride yourself on being good with your hands, then this is the contest for you.
ProjectX is a simple design-and-build event that calls out to every IMAGINEER. It tests the creativity, imagination and building skills of each and every one
Teams will be given some household materials (ice cream sticks, glue, cello tape, etc.) and a challenging problem statement, which will require them to build a compliant working model. After two hours of cutting, pasting, stretching and twisting, the models will be tested and judged. The primary focus is on efficiency, elegance and innovation of the working model.
Project X is a team event and has only a single round. The event is carried out on 3 different days during Shaastra with fresh problem statements on each day, each problem statement being independent of the previous day.
Registration (only for the corresponding day) will take place in the morning on the day of the event. The registrations would strictly be done on a first come first serve basis.
Each team can have a maximum of 3 members. The event will start at a scheduled time. The time allotted to teams is 3 hours. The models will be collected and kept in a separate place.
The testing would be carried out right after the event, and will take place in the order of the registration (the token number). Only the participants whose models are being tested will be allowed near the testing arena. The results would be declared on the following morning at the MECANIZERS 2K12 hospitality desk.
